Burning or pain in anorectum can be a symptom of following serious problems.
1. Piles or HemorrhoidsPiles or haemorrhoids are swollen veins in lower rectum. Piles inside the rectum usually are painless, but tend to bleed. Piles outside the rectum can be felt as a swelling, pain and irritation around anus or bright red blood on tissue paper. Pushing hard to pass motion, chronic constipation can cause piles. |

2. Fissure / Fistula /AbscessA cut or a wound in anal canal due to straining due to constipation is the commonest cause of fissure, leading to pain in anal region and blood in stools. |

3. InfectionsA fissure can get infected leading to formation of fistula or abscess, ollection of pus around anorectum and cause severe pain. |
